Dr Zondi spent 12 years working as senior Official in the National Department of Defence in South Africa. He joined the Department of Defence as Head of Defence Supply Chain Intergration, responsible for supply chain process design, logistics repositioning and material governance within the Department. He was later appointed Chief Defence Material responsible for armaments acquisition, industry support, research and development, technology management and oversight of procurement Agency.

Before joining Defence, Dr Zondi worked as an executive manager for PetroSA responsible for offshore support logistics operations. Before that he spent four years with Transnet in various positions, including Chief Operations Manager in Richards Bay Terminals, and National Capacity Planning Manager in the Transnet Port Operations Container Business.

Dr Zondi has more than 20 years Industry and public sector experience which prepared him to be at the helm of such auspicious entrepreneurial endeavour that SanDock Austral represents.

Prasheen Maharaj is the CEO of SanDock Austral and a multiawarding winning Business Leader. He is a noted deal maker, having secured a number of multi billion Rand Projects for his organization. A hands on CEO, he has successfully led the execution of a number of complex, multi-year Mega Projects in the Marine and Defense Industry. As a Corporate and Investment Finance professional, he has solid track record in merger and acquisition initiatives for the organization.

He has led a number of strategy development and implementation initiatives with an emphasis on corporate turnaround, organizational renewal and change/culture management. Prasheen is a prolific public speaker and has represented his country, Industry and company in a number of international and local symposia and conferences.

Prasheen is known as a Conscious Capitalist and is a firm believer that business should contribute to the greater good of society. He sits on the boards of the Durban Chamber of Commerce, Ethekwini Maritime Cluster and AMD. He is a Masters Graduate in Finance and Business from the University of KZN and is currently pursuing further Post Graduate studies at the London School of International Business.

Lieutenant General Themba Michael Nkabinde, MMS, MMB, formally served in the Armed forces of Mkhonto Wesizwe (MK) from the 1977 to 1994 Undergoing training in military disciplines both in Africa and Europe; Completing a threeyear officers course from the then Soviet Union in 1989, he was deployed at the Military Headquarters in Lusaka as an Operations Staff Officer.

Participated in the Operations Sub-Committee of Joint Military Command Council (JMCC) and National Peacekeeping Force to monitor the first RSA democratic elections, thereafter appointed Chief of Staff of NPKF integrated into the new South African National defence Force (SANDF) in 1994. Successfully completed all SANDF courses was appointed as Senior Staff Officer Africa under Director Operations; Director Joint Doctrine and Deputy Chief Director Army Force Structure and finally as the General Officer Commanding SA Army Infantry Formation.

Gen Nkabinde has completed a practical and Advance Project Management Diploma with UNISA, a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) through the University of South Africa.
